The 6th China-Mozambique-IFAD South-South Cooperation workshop took place between 4-8 of August 2014 at Maputo, Mozambique. It was co-hosted by China’s Ministry of Finance and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), organized by the International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC), and co-organized by the Ministry of Planning and Development of Mozambique. The workshop attracted more than 100 participants from 28 countries.
The workshop aimed to bring together agricultural/rural development and triangular cooperation stakeholders, as well as researchers, and business entrepreneurs to share experiences - technical know-how and policy related - in rural development and poverty reduction. The main aim of the workshop was to identify pro-poor agribusiness ideas and joint ventures that can be undertaken between China and Africa.
